Incubane builds products on Workday Extend and sells them to enterprise customers across Europe and North America. We are around 20 people, headquartered in the Netherlands with our engineering and operations team in Warsaw.

Right now our IT runs on goodwill. Laptops, accounts, access to GitHub, Atlassian, Microsoft 365 and our AI tooling are managed by whoever has a spare hour - usually a founder or a senior developer. That worked at five people. At twenty, with enterprise security questionnaires landing in every deal, it does not.

We are hiring our first dedicated IT and security person to fix that and to take us through ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.

What you will own:

IT operations. Our device fleet end to end - procurement, MDM, disk encryption, asset register, lifecycle. Microsoft 365 administration, office network, VPN, backups and recovery testing. First and second line support for the team.

Identity and access. Administration of GitHub, Atlassian, Claude and the rest of our SaaS stack. A real onboarding process, so a new joiner has everything working on day one. A real offboarding process, so access is gone within hours of a decision and there is evidence it happened. SSO and MFA enforced everywhere, quarterly access reviews, least privilege as a default rather than an aspiration.

ISO 27001. You will co-lead the certification project. You will not do it alone - we have Operations Manager, are funding an external implementation consultant, an independent internal audit and a compliance platform to automate evidence collection. Your job is to own the ISMS operationally: risk register, Statement of Applicability, policies that people actually follow, evidence that holds up in a Stage 2 audit. Target is certification within 6 months.

Security in practice. Incident handling, vulnerability and patch management, security awareness training and phishing simulations, and supporting our sales team on customer security questionnaires - the ones that currently slow deals down.

The shape of the job. This starts as a part-time role, roughly 20 hours a week, on B2B or a half-time employment contract. We expect it to become full-time within 6 to 12 months as the scope grows, and we would rather grow this role than add a second one.

You will report to Operations Manager. There is no IT team above or below you - you set the standard, and you will need to be comfortable deciding things yourself and being held to the outcome.

One boundary worth stating upfront: this role covers Incubane's own systems only.

Warsaw-based, hybrid, with at least ability to come to office on ad-hoc basis (typically 1 - 2 days / week).
